Stay and Experience Traditional Finnish Sauna
The Muhikko cabin, located on the Salpapolu trail, has a room with a four-person sleeping area (no mattresses) and a cosy wood-fired sauna. From the sauna, or why not otherwise, you can take a dip in the Vaalimaa River, which flows slowly in front of the cabin. The room can be heated by a fireplace, but especially in winter you should be prepared with proper sleeping gear.
In the same courtyard there is a cooking hut and a composting toilet that serves as a resting place for Salpa Hiking Trail. Firewood can be found in the woodshed.
Price, rental period and keys
The rent is 65 €/day. The key to the cabin is in the key box next to the door, where you will receive a PIN code by email. The key must be returned to the box on departure.
Please note
Final cleaning is not included in the price, i.e. each user cleans the premises thoroughly before leaving. Please also check that the water tank in the sauna is empty.
In winter, we will try to keep the road to the cabin open if possible. Please note that the snow conditions can change rapidly between the time of plowing and the next booking.
